didn't know where to post this so put it in general.
I give my dogs natural yoghurt which I had been led to believe helps with wind, :-) it works! BUT what if your dog wont eat the yoghurt, even mixed with usual food? I have a friend with a lab, and she is at her wits end with his smelly bottom. Is there anything else she could try?

Charcoal biscuits :)
Also, a change of food can often help, some foods just have an adverse effect on some dogs :)

And if he wont eat the biscuits, a little powdered charcoal in his dinner

Hi Witchesmole, sorry but this sentance had my husband and I in stiches laughing! We know exacly what you mean as our dog often has a flatulance fit!
His (our dog's not hubby LOL) favourite pose is to stretch in a bowing position, sticking his bottom in the air (he is very good at locating it not too far from our noses much toour disgust) anyway in this pose he lifts his tail (looking like a cake and candle) and releases a phutt phutt of toxic gasses! Then trotts off I am sure with a grin!
Sorry if this sounds gross but I thought it would return a chuckle after I dried my eyes and picked myself up off the floor from laughing at your one liner!
Anyhow, Our dog likes bio-yoghurts is this ok for him? Also can you tell me where to get this charcoal from?
Thanks
Guinness
:p

From most pet shops ;)
lmao
Haaaaaaaa I can just visualise the phutt phutt! My Hermione just goes puh gently then we all die lol. Still thank goodness this is only occassional as the yoghurt really helps. Poor Sydney(friends lab) just wont eat it, but will pass on about charcoal.
