I just wanted to let everyone know how much i love this site, and the members who make it so great.

I havnt been on here for that long, but i have never been as excited to log onto a website as i have since joining champdogs :o

I have learnt so much already,i am always guaranteed a laugh, sometimes a tear and the ever anticipated champdog debates :D

Just wanted to let you'll know that this site is the Bomb,i honestly dont know what i would do without it now,and thanks for making this site so great to be on :)

However i do have one complaint and i really think a *warning* should be issued to all new members, and that is that this website is addictive!! I'm having more and more trouble getting up for work in the mornings as i cant drag myself away at night,i always say,'oh,i'll just read one more post' 'i'm going to bed after this one' and before i know it 2 hours have passed and i'm nodding off infront of the screen :p

Anyway enough of the sentimentality,i just felt i had to write this and i hope this site stays around forever!

Night night everyone :)

This site is great!!! i don't post very often as i'm not an experienced dog owner...YET. i have also learn't loads and spend hours reading posts. it's great i love it. Our puppy will be with us in a few weeks. We are just going to have a holiday to florida before she comes, so we won't have to leave her till she's older. But my kids can't wait for us to get back and get our puppy.I can't help thinking that i've wasted my money???

just wonderring Why would you think you have wasted your money?????
Jane
- By Missie Date 12.05.05 13:43 UTC
I think she means on the holiday? :)
- By barafundle [gb] Date 12.05.05 13:42 UTC
I think she must mean that the holiday was a waste of money because they will be spending all the time on holiday wishing it was over so they can have their puppy.

I have to agree Frodo

My OH knows when we come upstairs to bed the only thing I'll be paying any attention to is the champdogs forum :D He always asks are you "Champing it tonight?"  Probably in the vain hope that one day I'll say " No babe, lets have any early night" :D :D :D Hmm just as well he loves the dogs as much as I do or I might well be Other Halfless :p
- By maplecottage [gb] Date 12.05.05 14:31 UTC
Totally agree Frodo - without the help of so many of you on the forum my OH and I wouldn't be as far in our planning as we are. From feeding through to training - the information has been brilliant, the jigsaw is almost complete. So a big THANK YOU to all of you for all your great advice and to Champdogs Admin and team for providing the where with all for everyone to come together and chat about what we all love so much; our dogs...even those dogs that don't quite exist yet :)
- By michelled [gb] Date 12.05.05 14:40 UTC
oh but what about the dark side? ;)
- By maplecottage [gb] Date 12.05.05 14:50 UTC
Makes it interesting... :)
- By Tigerlily [gb] Date 12.05.05 14:54 UTC
"dark side" he he he, the force is strong with you Luke! Sorry, bit of a Starwars fan.

It is very addictive and alot can be learnt from this site, just taken me a while to harden up to the way some of the members reply  can be a little abrupt at times ;-) :-)

Some of us have been with this board since it started, ive changed my name over the past year, for the older ones ive got westies , so you will probably know who I am. I dont post as much now as I used to, but,yes the board is very, very good with a lot of experienced breeders on here.  I even still ask for advice now and again. I used to show my dogs with my granddaughter, but have retired from showing for the time being.

Nice to hear someone being positive about CD rather than having a go.I've been a member for a long tiome now...have been to other boards but always come back here.....maybe its that addiction thing!

got too!!!!!!!! got to get one!!!!!!!!
- By ana_x [gb] Date 12.05.05 17:46 UTC
I think a doggy sports board is a great idea!

Would probably make the site more popular aswell as you'd get members from agilitynet/ obedienceuk etc. come join this forum aswell...
- By michelled [gb] Date 13.05.05 08:02 UTC
ana! ive been trying for AGES!!!!!!! ive suggested it to admin, but maybe a few more interested people should email them!
i think it should cover all dog sports,ob,ag,WT,HWTM,sled sports, shheepwork,FT. etc & any training related queries could go on there,& leave behavoiural ones for the behavoiur board
- By Sarah Gorb [gb] Date 13.05.05 16:04 UTC
I think it would be so great if we could all upload pictures of ou dogs onto our profiles, then I would know half the breeds that are mentioned on here.
Only been on here since Feb when my dog got ill and the advice and support I received was fantastic.
- By Vicki [gb] Date 13.05.05 18:28 UTC
This is a great idea Sarah.  I often go to poster's details to see if they have a website where I can see the dogs - and have seen some beauties (Teri's BSD's, Kayc's Labs, Melodysk's Mals and Chloe's danes to name but a few) but some of us do not have a website and would love pics of our "kids" to be able to be seen by anyone who wants a look.

How can we go about this ??

Can Admin assist?
- By Admin (Administrator) Date 13.05.05 18:36 UTC
You can post links to your websites in your profiles and you have a PM system inplace. If you are interested in seeing photo's of other members dogs you could PM them and ask. Quite a few members hold advanced membership with us and you can view their websites on the main breeder/owner site
