I have just had a litter (10 weeks old today) and I weaned them on Nature Diet Puppy. I used it for 2 out of four meals per day and mixed it with Burns minibites, added a little boiled water to soften. The puppies have grown well, healthy and strong. I was using 1 tub per feed for 8 puppies at 6 weeks.
I have been very pleased with nature diet, but I also think the Burns is excellent.
If you use Burns they have an excellent breeder scheme.
I kept one puppy and have her on the puppy nature diet, I'll probably change her over to the adult at about 16 weeks. The protein content is about the same in both versions.

I weaned my whippet puppies on naturediet and burns mini bites, also puppy pedigree chum and farleys rusks with lactol. They thrived wonderfully and, I think all dogs need variety or they get bored.
Good luck with your puppies.

I whelped and weaned a litter with my friend. Our pups were weaned on Naturediet, we started off with a few scrapings of raw beef, then introduced them to soaked JWB kibble and then on to a small amout of slightly warmed and well mushed Naturediet puppy, gradually mushing it less and serving it at normal room temperature as they grew,They took to it really well and were always very enthusiastic at mealtimes, especially when they smelt it was the Naturediet being served up and not one of their milk or kibble meals.
Initially, the 'greedy' ones of the litter (when they had their very first try) had a few teething problems so to speak with the carrot thats in it,simply and purely because they were trying to wolf it down so quickly and needed to learn to take their time and chew it.but after their first couple of meals and a few coughs it was fine.
I thought it was just a shame that the puppy version only came in one flavour, and i did(when the pups were around 7 weeks)give them a teaspoon of the other varieties here and there to give them the experience of different flavours, although never a whole meal.
I would thoroughly recommend it,our pups were a picture of health, and i made sure all my pups went to their new families with some packs of it,as well as information on the product(website address etc and why i chose to feed it enclosed in their puppy packs/folders..
Good luck with the litter
