Have you wormed her? Maybe you're giving her too much and she's saving the surplus? What does the vet say?

For a start stop the treats...feed her her dinner only!!! Put it down for 10 minutes and then take it away and offer her NOTHING else until her next feed time.

Hi
You could try pasta and high carbs it could be she cant cope with proteins at the mo so do pasta with a sprinkle of cheese.
Rice and veg if no improvement I would take her back to the vets for a blood screen on her liver and pancreas. Try her on some toast with a smidge of cheese spread anything like that and avoid meats and complete for a couple of weeks its all linked with having pup's

Hiya
When my bitch went off her food half way through her pregnancy, she would,nt eat any type of dog food at all.  The only thing she was interested in was tuna.  I gave her a tin of tuna mixed with an egg and she loved it.  Its just an idea, maybe you,ve already tried that though.  Good luck, I know it is very worrying.

Tuna can contain mercury, its alright as an occasional treat but should not be fed too often and I am not sure I would like to give in to a pregnant bitch.

Sorry, I did,nt mean to suggest giving tuna every day.  It just helped to kick start pepsis appitite again.  Shes now on day 58 and feeding really well.  It,s funny but now I,m waiting for her to go off her food again, hoping that the big day is getting near.

You're right sometimes tempting them with something opens up the whole idea of eating again :)  but I think it was worth reminding people that there is a limit to how safe it is to feed tuna.

I often give Fagan a tripe stick before his dinner and it seems to remind him that food is a good thing and will happily tuck into his dinner - strange arent they :)

How right you are Claire. My dogs have been a bit funny with their eating lately. If i just give them a little tid bit before their meal it seems to get them in the mood to eat and their appetites flowing

Have you tried Enervite. High calorie vitamin concentrate.  It stimulates appetite and increases weight gain.

Put enervite in search engine.    I ordered mine from over the net.  I did have some difficulty finding it in the shops.

I find it very useful and so do a lot of my dog friends who breed and have the odd problem with a bitch.

It is not expensive, around £4 a tube.

I got enervite from PAH, it was a while ago though.

Ive just bought some nupro for Fagan, it apparantly is a supplement for BARF and also stimulates appetite :)

Hi Sharon

Stop the treats as Archer says and pick her food up I never leave any of mine down if they don't start to eat it within 10 mins, try a spoonful of natural yogurt on top of her dinner mine all love it and even my fussy eater will wolf down her food with it on.

thanx
i have been giving her chicken/beep/tripe mince it was ok for acouple of days the
as usual she whent of it a gain gave her chicken last nite she took ages to eat it so at the end she walked away leaving some. today i have put dry food tinned and not mixed just their self she is going in and out of the dryed food now and again but not the tinned at least she,s getting something but not much ,im going to put her food out beside my other dogs just to see if that will change her mind to walk away and leave it as i cant leave the food down as her pup will get to it .
i will stay with her when she,s with the other dogs just incase but they have never fot or argued over food but you never no i will keep you,s all up to date on her progress
                                                                                   thanx
