What the one main thing in the world you are passionate about?

Apart from your family and friends of course.

Is it acting, cooking, football, conservation, rescue, sleeping, cars restoration, sewing, writing, painting, keep fit?

In other words what makes you tick?

They are very addictive! Not really keen on inflicting pain on people, unless it is my hubbie;-) lol, he is always my guines pig when I am trying something new. :-D

- By Tigerlily [gb] Date 07.05.05 15:51 UTC
Only as a hobby but would like to do more now my boy has started playschool, it is having the time to fit it all in :-) I ride a Hanovarian (sorry about my spelling) he is 16.2 h and very handsome, he belongs to my friend. I would love to do a bit of cross country one day, when they are both at school full time. We mainly go in the forest and have a good hack ;-)

My horses :) Am excited about the arrival of my new arab mare next week. She's called Zamara and she was born and raced in Dubai and she is just stunning. In the meantime I have had to give up riding with being pregnant and I miss it soooo much :(

Reading, bubbly baths, clean sheets, good TV, my dogs (when they behave :D ) , showing, crosswords :)
- By Isabel Date 07.05.05 16:18 UTC
Oh gosh I forgot bubblebaths!!  Hubby bought me some stuff from Boots for my stocking at Christmas.  It was called Royal Jelly glittering bath decanter.  I just stuck it on the shelf as something decorative but just thought the contents would be Christmas tat.  I run out of anything else recently so tried it........wow! the most gorgeous scent, very deep and classy and a lovely moisturising feel.  Hope they sell it next Chrissies as it's all gone now :(  Another favourite was Crabtee and Evelyn's Goats Milk Powder it really was like bathing in asses milk :) but sadly they don't seem to do that anymore , any recommendations from you Mel?
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 07.05.05 17:04 UTC
One word ....LUSH!

:D :D
- By Isabel Date 07.05.05 18:01 UTC
Do you mean the cosmetics or do you bathe in champagne :o :p
Which product do you recommend then?  Do you just get them mail order, I've seen their web site, or can you buy them in the shops?
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 07.05.05 18:13 UTC
Yup, you can buy online (got oldest daughters Birthday present from them) Depends what you like as to what to buy...but they do a very good description of the scents :) Lush UK

I get the ballistics ...my faves are Fairy Jasmine (but it leaves fine glitter EVERYWHERE! :D ), Karma  (quite a musky, patchouli-ish smell) , Summer Blues (leaves LOADS of petals in the bath) and Big Blue

Also buy the Bubble bars - tend to only use half in one bath, makes them last longer I love the Karma Bubble bar (as before ), Blue skies and fluffy white skies, and Bathos

The soaps are also wonderful .....and the glitterbugs are GREAT , love the shower stuff, like the shampoo ...

Are you getting the picture here? :D :D I either buy online or at the Nottingham shop :) If you got to the shop you *may* find the smell over powering though ;) TAKE LOTS OF MONEY :p :p :p

We have a Lush shop in Stratford. I daren't go in it - I start sneezing just walking past! The smell coming out of the door is overpowering!
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 07.05.05 19:09 UTC
If you can overcome the smell it is a fantastic shop :)
- By JenP Date 07.05.05 19:51 UTC
Me too Jeangenie.  I'd love to give their products a try, but I keep thinking I'll come out of the bath all red and itching.

Oh that is good news Starryeyes, I must admit I just assumed it was a Christmas thing because of the glitter.  Going to try this Lush stuff too, anyone know of any stores in the North West?
OK found it on the web site, Manchester or Carlisle for me.

My Ollie Dog! ...hes such a brave special little boy and I love him soooooo much!

Seeing practice- the feeling that 'today' you are doing your part in helping animals and owners, seeing a very sick dog you helped look after, be reunited with his owner, all happy wagging his tail cos 'he is going home!',  :) thats what keeps me from cracking up from the insane study.

Dog shows- the buzz you get when you just arrive, set up all your crates etc, get you catalogue, see who else is there, start getting the dogs ready, and then.... 'go in'!!!  :D no matter how many times I do it its always as exciting as the first time!!! and the 'team-work' between you and your dog! nothing like it!!!!

The thought of finding a little yankee baby at last! after ages of waiting!
Carol :)

No particuar order -

Dogs, esp. Belgian Shepherds; horses, esp. Arabians; guinea pigs, esp. Abbyssinians. Chocolate. Cockatiels. Wood. New Forest. Books, esp. old children's but also many many others; interesting ancient sites; freedom (not necessarily the right to roam across farmer's fields though. I just need to be able to walk and be free or I wilt). Aromatherapy oils - most! Reward based training. Working trials.Writing. The county of Dorset :) Wild flower meadows. Ancient woodland.

dogs, dogs and more dogs!  Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to get any more till I move out (in about 3 years :() so I only have the 2 for now - but my sister has a pup, so she makes up for it :D

Dogs will always be my passion, I've wanted one since I can remember, so having 2 is wonderful :) I also groom, and I'm planning a daycare/hotel so I can spend all day playing and caring for them!  Can't wait!

S'pose I should say fish as well - I'm always going to have a fish tank, there's just something about uber-catfish that gets me every time!
