My 19mth old male dogue de bordeaux was ill around xmas time and since then i cannot get him to put weight on, i feed him on minced chicken,tripe,minced lamb and chicken wings, is there anything i can give him to help him put weight on? the vet says he is fine now but is alot slimmer now then before he was bad, any help would be so greatful, Thanks

our bordeauxs are all fed the same minced chicken ,tripe and a good quality complete we use royal canin large breed,but one of our girls is terrible at keeping weight on ,we did find whatever we fed her she did'nt put on weight ,we now also give her a scoop of red mills brown bread with her meal and she's now eventually keeping her weight on

mine are fed on complete,with either tripe,mince or chicken ,they also have sardines twice a week...
