Hiya, I've been asked to Project Manage us taking over a new premises in Reading. I've dealt with smaller projects before but nothing on this scale so its going to be quite a challenge.
I've already got quite a heavy workload on at the moment and I've said that I'll see how much time I've got to dedicate to this.
My question to anyone out there who might be able to help is:
What things do I need to consider - to make sure that I've covered everything?
I've thought of Telecoms, IT, Furniture, H&S, Cabling, Comms.....
Anything I've missed that I should be thinking about???
We should be getting keys to the new office by 1st June and I'll have 1 month (1st July) before our new team of people start work there - is this a realisitc timescale???
Anyone with any advice please???
Thank you!!! :D
Just a thought, you may have to contact the Fire Brigade to access premises & equipment! Dont forget to tell the post office for collections & deliveries.

Don't forget to let customers and staff know what's happening and when

:)
Also sanitation, security, insurance (for the move and the new premises) and decorating/refurbishing - may or may not be needed
Oh and heating - it may be warm now but in the winter......
Good luck with it :)

You need to register your business with the HSE/Council
Fire Certificate
Emergency Procedures
Police re key holders
Trash collection
Cleaners
Statutory inspections ie Legionella
Pest Control
Insurance survey for EL Certificate
Window cleaning
Boiler/A/C/ Servicing
Signage
Assembly Points
Fire Extinguishers
The list goes on and is pretty standard for facilities management

Thanks everyone - I've got all of that all covered already so think that thats about it (until I wake up in the middle of the night remembering something else)!! ;-)
Just a case of whether I can get all the contractors in within the timeframe now!! :-)
