Has anyone heard of a line of labs from Cornfelds? Some years ago I had an amazing dog "Huckleberry" of Cornfelds. I would now like another if anyone knows who now has them.

Sorry Guest, Cornfeld is not a registered Affix. It looks like your dog may have been bred as a 'one off' litter, and simply given a name of choice by the breeder. The only way I could possibly suggest you find his breeder would be from the registration papers which will have his KC reg no. and matching this to the relevant BRS (Breed record Supplement) His registration papers will also have the breeders name on it.
However, if the Dam or Sire were from Affixed Kennels you may be able to find an indirect relative of your dog and maybe think about a pup from those lines :)
Why dont you join Champdogs, (its free) and give us some more info on the parents, gparents etc, maybe we can help

I've certainly heard of Cornlands as an affix in Labradors, but not Cornfelds.

Yes, but the name of the dog would have Cornlands as an affix not part of the name. And if the dog had been registered, then purchsed and re-named with the Affix as a Suffix, the dog would still have to have two original names, since you need to apply minimum of two words in initial registration.

I think years ago you had the choice of using the kennel name as a suffix or affix.

I wonder if the op did mean cornlands. Going back to 2003 show records of East Anglian LRC I notice they did have a dog bought in without an affix. Pointblank at Cornlands JW took Limit Dog (minefield of useless info) :D
OP, please register, would love to try and help, and my curiosity is getting the better of me :D

The current registration system has not always existed though, I remember that there was a time when puppy buyers could register the puppy if the breeder had not, and affixes could be used as prefix or suffix. There was also a short period when the KC had a two tier registration system, a basic litter registration and an additional active registration for those puppies that were going to be shown, or bred from. So I still wonder if this OP has simply mis-spelt the Kennel name.
