
I would definately go the rescue route as Melodysk suggests, a cut price puppy is likely to cost you far more in terms of health and temperament problems in the long run. If rescue don't have anything to suit I think you would be better to leave it a year, or whatever, and save another £100 to get you into the realms of a decent puppy from a respectable breeder, the running costs in terms of food, vaccinations, insurance, kennels etc will be the same and possibly less to pay in terms of vets fees.
