I don't go to all the Championship Shows but was wondering if anybody fancied car sharing? I am happy to do the driving but find it gets a bit boring, especially on the way home. I realise there are some personal safety issues to consider but I am sure these can be overcome. After all I may be a little mad but I am harmless! :-) I am based in Kent (near Rochester) and show on working day.
ttfn,
j

As a non driver I do rely on such arrangements with other kind exhibitors, unfortunately for me you are in the wrong end of the country and on the wrong day :D
It makes it cheaper for both theother driver and me. Only trouble is I can talk the hind leg off a Donkey!!!
It's a shame you don't live anywhere near me, or have a breed in the same group :D I'm looking forward to this summers champ shows but not looking forward to the cost!!!
Forward any donations to my email address, anybody :D !!!!

Was halfway there, used to have a Chessie! Nearly got a Viszla instead (might still one day) but not moving-sorry :-)

Thats a shame Emily Rose, we have the same group but live totally different ends of the country
I, like you am looking forward to the champ shows but not the expense :(

Emily, if I'm coming down the east side of the country at any point you can get a lift with me as I know you live around Northumbria area?????? And we both have the same group breeds.
Hey, thats an idea Christine..only one problem...I HATE being a passenger :D We are much further north than Northumbria, more North Yorkshire but it only takes me about 20 mins to get onto the A1(M) so it's still do-able!
PM me with the champs you are planning doing, if you are still interested that is!
Emily :)

Um ... isn't North Yorkshire
south of Northumbria? ;) :)
Oh dear...I'm really not on the ball at all today :D Think I'll go back to bed :D
Yes, we are south of Northumbria, thanks JG :) As if I don't even know where I live!!!! DURHH!
I HATE being a passenger....
you'll just have to grin & bear it luvvie!! ;)

Hi Jeff. I would be interested in car sharing. I live in Kent and have a small breed of dog which is shown on working/pastoral day. We are both well behaved !!!and my dog would travel in a crate.

Hi,
Sounds good, my boy goes in a crate as well so hopefully we can work something out. I suppose the next step is to arrange a rendezvous. Do you show at Maidstone? Or Stafford on Thursday?
cheers

Hi Jeff. Sorry will not be at either Maidstone or Stafford. My puppy has not been to a dog show yet, so am going to give her a try at a local companion show near Wye on Sunday. All being well then I will enter her at some of the summer shows, before she is out of puppy. I definetly want to go to Bournemouth, but apart from that I have not decided. Have you had Tibetan Mastiffs long?. A friend of mine used to show 2or 3.We also need to sort out petrol costs etc and where we would meet. Basically my car is not really suitable for long journeys and neither am I!!!!!. But I would be a good navigator.

Hi,
If you mean the show at Brook, opposite the pub, I will probably be there anyway. I have only had TM's for about two and half years, although I waited five years for my first one. Does your friend still have a TM?

Excellent, yes it is the show at Brook. I guess you will be the only one with a Tibetan Mastiff and I will be the only one with the cardigan corgi. that is not quite true as there is another cardi who lives in Canterbury. My friend no longer has any Tibetan Mastiffs as she has gone back to her first love, BMD'S.

Hi, info re show at Wye.It is actually opposite The Honest Mileer pub at Brook, which is a small village next to Wye. Entries from 11.30, judging starts at 12.30 on Sunday May 8th. There are lots of other things at the same time , Lurcher show, ferret show, terrier racing etc and it sounds as if it will be a fun day. I am using it as a warm up for my new puppy.
HTH see you there?
