Did your Vet do a scan?  This is really important to get more of an idea what is going on.  Please keep a really close eye on her & watch the bleeding really carefully.

I recently had one of my girls start with this at Day 44, hers did turn into more of a discharge though after a couple of hours at the Vets.  Took her straight to the Vets where she was examined & then scanned.  The first scan showed a dead pup (she'd originally been scanned for 4 pups).  She was kept in overnight on a drip, precautionary antibiotics & also heparin to try to help help her blood clotting.

A repeat scan the next morning showed there was still 2 live puppies so she was allowed to come home even though she still had the discharge & bleeding.  We carried on with the antibiotics for another week, had an awful weekend with her, she was most upset & depressed (not that I could blame her for feeling this way!) & then returned to the Vets for another scan which showed there was still 1 maybe 2 live puppies.  By this point all bleeding & discharge had been stopped for a few days & she was very happy in herself.  However a scan 2 weeks later revealed she had lost all the pups.

This was the first time I have ever experienced anything like this & would hate to go through it again as the feeling of helplessness to one you love so dearly is an awful feeling.  Thankfully my girl seems to have come through this very well although I still keep a very close eye on her.

No cause was found in our case, there was no infection found anywhere, she was swabbed & blood tested & there had been no trauma happen either.

I sincerely hope that your girl is ok & that I haven't scared you with what happened to us.  I think maybe I'm still a bit raw from our experience.  Please let us know how she gets on.

Hi
Had a similar experience with my girl, noticed a few spots of blood and the vet assured me that everything was fine and normal. Four days and two scans later, they insited everything was fine, but then I rushed her in out of hours when she suddenly had thick black discharge and was told that one puppy dead one still alive. We had an emergency section, but lost the remaining pup..:( If you are unsure, go back to the vets and have a thorough scan, dont leave it to chance, you could lose your girl too :( really hope everything is ok with your girl, keep us posted

been back to the vets this morning all blood tests came back clear, no more bleeding since, he scanned again this morning and he said pups are still fine, he said i have to watch her and take her back if there is anymore bleeding, he said antibiotics are not required, does this sound right or should i go to another vet, she is now day 51

I would just watch her like a hawk! If you see any bleeding (you may notice when she goes to the toilet) , or if there is any type of dishcharge, go straight to vets-Good luck!
