In relation to my dobermann, I have his test results back now and he has an enlarged heart and fluid on the lungs. His ECG showed abnormal heart beats from the wrong side of his heart. He has been started on vetmedin and a diuretic (frusemide I think). His results have been sent to a cardiologist and he may need a cardiac ultrasound. He is on the tablets for 10 days when we go back. However my vet has not told us long term prognosis, he has not told us if it is safe to take him out for a walk, if we should change his diet or anything. DOes anyone have any advice? He is 4 and otherwise healthy and active and has been dying to go out for a walk but we were told to avoid this on sat. Is it ok to take him out now? ANy help please email me juka41@yahoo.co.uk
