My dobermann has been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyothapy. THis was after we took him in for a cough. He has been put on lanoxin and is today having x ray and ECG. Can anyone give us some advice. Our vet says his heart could go at any time and that we should not take him for a walk or run. Surely the vet should have at least checked his throat ?
