can anyone tell me what these remedies are used for ? ....have been recommend to get some for the dog kit but a little unsure what they do ..any help would be great :)

Arnica is used for bruises I think. As far as I know hypericum (St John's Wort) is used as an anti-depressant ...

Yes arnica is good for bruises, contusions, sprains and swellings...
i swear by it.... if i bang myself i reach for it straight away and dont get those horrible purply black bruises it just goes to the pale green/yellow ones.... have used it on swellings aswell. Found that the gel was easier to apply than some creams  (and worked out cheaper too :-) )

I always keep a vile of Arnica in my show bag, just in case any of my dogs (or other dogs) goes lame or gets a knock. It's great.

Jg, yep, Hypericum as a herbal tablet is used for depression.

In a cream/oil or a homeopathic tablet it's used for injuries, specially where there are nerve endings (pain with numness and tingling) in toes, fingertips, spine etc. 

As the others say, Arnica in pillule form is great for pain but you can also get in a cream thats just as good to rub on unbroken skin thats had knocks & bruises. Hypericum Perforatum reduces pain in open, lacerated wounds & closed injuries where tissues are rich in nerve endings. I`ve used it in the cream form mixed with Calandular a lot on the family as well as the dogs & its really good. You can buy them both in pill form or cream, they are homeopathic treatments, if your interested maybe you should get a little book about that`ll explain the remedies & how to use them :)
