While perusing the results of WELKS I noticed that a well known exhibitor was judging a breed, and their high profile dog of a different breed, owned in parnership, was being shown to a second place.

I was under the impression that nobody could judge and exhibit at the same show. Is this allowed now?

Not as far as I know unless the person judging was an emergency judge haven't got the ole red book to hand at present

I noticed this at Crufts - a well known judge was judging one breed and a dog that is owned in partnership with him was shown in another breed.

I did wonder at the time whether things had changed but can't remember seeing anything about it.  The judge at Crufts was NOT appointed in an emergency so I could not quite figure it out.

Used to happen a lot with some very well known top winning dogs in the 70's & 80's
