To Whom It May Concern:
Can you help?
I am looking for some assistance from your club for a young angel we want to
help. Grace, aged 9, is desperate for a basset hound (or 'bowdiddly' as she
has already named it) to love and cherish, but unfortunately her family
can't afford one.
Grace is a very special little girl who has had a very hard start in life.
Since the age of 4 she has had bowel problems which lead to her having part
of her bowel removed and a colostomy bag fitted by the time she was 6.
Through all of this she has been extremely strong even though she is
frequently ill, has to have a full time carer at school and the future is
still uncertain. Although her routine is not that of a normal 9year old she
is greatly loved and supported by her family and local community, in which
her father is training to be a vicar.
Grace's family were wanting to get her a hound to make the days more
enjoyable and a companion for the times she is away from friends. The
doctors have all agreed it would do her a great deal of good.
I am really asking to see if you would know of any of your club members who
may have a young dog (house trained- encase of infection) which might
appreciate a home with this young family. The family have helped so many
members of the community and are a constant support to all around them so we
would really like to try and make this wish come true.
I am lead to believe these dogs are in the region of £700 but if there was
someone who has a dog that may appreciate a loving home or could give us a
lower price then we would be happy to fundraise for the cause.
Many thanks for your time,
I hope there may be someone able to help.
