Has anyone ever imported a Dog Trolley from Australia ?.   Have seen a site on the net and they are cheaper but concerns about airport tax and would it be all worth it.  The four berth with the freight charge would be £380. Two berth around £200 with freight charge included.
Both with 8 ins wheels.

I haven't but anything if size generally gets stopped at Customs.

I bought bridesmaid dresses in Canada and got hit big time with the tax when the arrived at the door.

I would imagine the weight and size along would make it expensive.

Did they not inform you of the tax charges before the dresses arrived on your front door step.  Do you know how I can find out how much the tax will be.  I do know I would have to pay VAT.

Thanks

Any goods coming in are taxable, BUT most times if you are lucky and it is a one off you can get away with it.   I can't remember what mines was as it was a few years ago but it ended up being about £80, I appealled it and got about £40 back as the sho had put a higher value on the good for insurance reasons.

It is best if they can put GIFT on the parcel ( some will some won't)

The carrier bringing them in will charge you for that VAT and any duty that is owing - you will probably have to pay up front or when they deliver. Duty varies, I think at work we pay about 5% on electrical goods we import from China.
