God  that site is terrible.  Like Puppies R Us, pop one in your shopping basket and proceed to checkout..pay so much for P and P....and receive it by Parcel Force the next day.

What is the point of these designer dogs?

What horrified me where them messing about with beagles and pugs and producing a PUGGLE!!!  There is nothing wrong with either of these breeds as they stand alone.  Why cross them??  (stratches head in confusion)

I think the whole world has gone barking mad sometimes!

teacuptoysandpets are worse they will ship a tiny chihuahua puppy and I mean tiny will grow to 1 1/2 pounds full size to the uk from america at 8 weeks old and they charge over $2000 per puppy.

It's really sad and the way they are aiming at children who wouldn't know responsibilities if it hit them in the face, the poor dogs being exploited in this way.  To be honest i think it's already happening here have you looked in the loot.  It's disgusting.

There are loads of UK breeders and dogs of all sorts for sale on the UK net, some MIGHT monitor such adds others not, I don't see why people see net adds as anything other than an electronic paper.

I used to highlight this type of thing, until someone pointed out it is just free advertising for them. Lets help establish them as an international trader...:(

Alert breedclubs, tax offices & trading offices, but don't advertise for them online, it's just another google hit.

While I agree about the marketing (and certainly the prices) I don't really understand the fuss about inter-breeding.  What's wrong with crossing two vigorous/attractive breeds?  The breeds we are familiar with were selectively bred for specific purposes, many of which are now largely defunct.  Why are we getting our leashes in a knot over this?

I know I strayed (no pun intended) on to this site by accident but I am a dedicated fan of the mutt/cross breed. I admire some pure breeds but many of them today bear little resemblence to the illustrations I have in an old (1950's) Crufts' book and even this site acknowledges  health problems specific to certain breeds (eg GSD).  I await enlightenment.

Perhaps this might help explain it.

For example, that site is advertising shih-tzu/poodle crosses. Both breeds are prone to entropion ...
:)

No, I'm afraid it just confirms what I already thought.  Mutts rule (in this house anyway).
- By Jeangenie [gb] Date 29.04.05 21:18 UTC
So you're happy that crossing breeds potentially increases the likelihood of the offspring suffering from inheritable conditions? How odd.

I suppose it's deliberate that all the names sound like something out of Pokemon?! I hate myself for saying this, and I'm not condoning this in any way, but those Puggles look really cute!
- By susantwenty? [gb] Date 01.05.05 11:16 UTC
Yes they probably do but dont all puppies, and thats until they start having all kind of health problems and then the poor dogs end up where all the rest end up in the rescue waiting for new homes until the next fashion accessory comes along.

it already is,its a shame but wat can we do! if there was something ide gladly do it! its like mail order puppies.next itl be buy 1 get 1 free! :(

OMG have just seen the website :( I am absolutely shocked at it, the strategic marketing of the Puggle etc on it is just scary! how do they get away with it??

>>What's wrong with crossing two vigorous/attractive breeds?<<

Just take a look at the rescue sites, see how many poor cross breed dogs seeking homes. Look at the number of abandoned dogs put down every year. Then you will see why.

Anyone sending an e-mail to these twits?
Good god! You can reserve these puppies over the internet! These people are obviously in it for the money (Always a sign when instead of apelling ''for'' right they put 4.)

A lot of these owners will certainly be needing that pet insurance advertised. . . .
