Saw an ad in our local paper yesterday - a 2 year old Atika boy free to a good home.  It said that not good with children and I can only wonder that something has happened and they are giving him away.  :-(  I just hope that he finds a good and experienced home and that not just anyone goes along for him.  :-(

maybe you could contact Akita rescue with the details and they might take him ?

Does anyone have the details of Atika Rescue?  I just did a search on Google but it didn't come up with anything. 

I wouldn't be able to take him in as I've got Glazby but I could at least try and pass the details onto the people advertising him - if they are offering him free of charge the obviously don't want money and may not have thought of Rescue.....or they might think that I'm intefering!!

I found this on a search engine but cant access the site from work, im sure it will have details on.  I would maybe email or phone the rescue with the details and let them contact the owner, that way it keeps you well out of it :)

Tried calling them and a voice mail message said that they were closed and sorry for any inconvenience.  Can't remember now what date they said they were reopening but think it will be too late for this lad.  :-(

I wish that I could take him on but couldn't risk it with Glazby.  :-(
