Hello all. I have a springer spaniel She is 3 years old & was spayed 3 months after her 1st season. But could it be possible that she still goes through that hormonal cycle, behaviour-wise? She has a week now & again when she is very tempermental, like being naughty, going off her food, sulking & generally being a "pain in the neck" She is very well behaved most of the time but naturally has plenty of spirit! Just wondered if anyone has a girl with the same "situ"?

Just a thought ... are you emotionally exactly the same day after day, week after week ... ?

Guest I believe it can take 6 months or so for the hormones to completely leave the dogs system. You don't actually say how long ago she was done. Springers are a bit loopy anyway so if you expect her to be sensible and calm all the time you picked the wrong breed. :-)
