Ive noticed over the last few weeks Ralph's (Lab 6 1/2 months) behavour towards other dogs on walks has changed. He will still wag his tail and walk up to meet them but when they sniff him or jump up he either lies on the ground or rolls over to show his stomach. He even did this yesterday with a ten week old Lab puppy. Is he scared? Or does he want them to know he is not looking for a fight?
P.S Nothing has changed, he hasn't been snapped at by another dog or anything.

Thanks
Lisa

Yep i think he is just being submissive to all an sundry, as long as he doesn't become nervous of other dogs it shouldn't be a problem, by that i mean cowering and growling when another dog comes in veiw.

He is simply telling them he is no threat, showing them his most vulnerable parts :D

Do you think it's just a puppy thing, will he stop this when he gets more confident?
