Has any one got a Romar trolley and if so what are your opinions on it. I am thinking of investing in one but begore I spend the few hundred pounds I would like some feedback.

Thanks

Affenpinscher.  Is it heavy to push or heavy to lift in and out of the car?   Thanks for replying.

hi, I have had a 2 door standard romar trolley since just before christmas and I have never had a problem pushing it (and I do a lot of shows ) or loading it in the car infact I load 2 in the car as my friend is disabled , I'm not saying that they are light but I can manage them and I am a 57 year old woman, but I could see a problem loading it in the car If you went for one of the larger trolleys .

Thing is do you have to take the dogs out of it to lift in the car.. boy I would need to

I think if this is the type you want get it made using a trolley , cage type design and top.. then you can get it in a little at a time.

Some of the small breed folk have made similar ones with great success..

Hi blue, the romar trolleys fold flat so I think you should take the dogs out first . LOL
- By Blue Date 28.04.05 12:53 UTC
Then where to you put the dogs ;-))

What I use is a grooming table trolley that folds down boxes go on top. But my dogs travel in the boxes in the car for safety.

Is it an easy thing to fold down..?

Hi blue, We put the dogs in crates on the back seat and the trolleys go in the back of the car, no problem folding it down.

My TT's Breeder has the Romar Trolley 3 Berth and i have helped put it into car on numerous occasions and to put it together and i have had no problem putting it into car or pushing it that is why i decieded to get it in as i found it quite easy to maneouver (sp) ,she has crates in the back of the car to put the dogs in for travelling and i have the same for my tt even tho she presently sits on my lap next tt will be in a crate as will lil when i am driving myself

Hi

My friend has a 4 berth Romar trolley for her Papillons which she is exchanging for a smaller one.  Her 4 berth one sits in the garage and doesn't get used much.  (She has had it 7 or 8 months and used it very rarely)  Its too big to fit into the boot space of my estate car, ok if there are only two of us travelling we can put the rear seats down and make space, dogs then have to travel in there boxes on top of the trolley (not the flattest of surfaces), but more often there are three of us so this is not an option.  I use boxes and a trolley table, keep looking at all the nice trolleys and wishing I had one of the lighter weight ones.  Romar is to heavy for ME and I'm to short to use the 4 berth trolley top comfortably for grooming. (Good height for leaning on and watching the world go by), it is easy to push and steer.

Thanks for that Georgina

I have been wondering what to do with my 'three TT's' going into shows.  Took the two little ones out on a brace lead with Pip following up at the rear.  Fun it was not.  Can't imagine doing that going into a show.  Going to look a the Romar site now.

Just out of interest are there any other types of mobile dog crate suitable for shows?

Thanks for that wizzizz

I like the look of those as well.  Spoilt for choice now.  Do all the wheels steer or just the back ones.

Edited to say

Yep I see they do!!!

yep just 2 of them mu boys live(sleep and eat) in theirs in the house. you can also take it off the wheels to make it just a cage.
