I have just seen a 9 week old puppy being taken for a walk by its owner, well actually the owner was posting leaflets threw peoples doors.
When they came to my home the puppy was happily trotting beside its owner
and I thought whats that puppy doing out on a walk.
I opened the door and had a chat to the man and he said his puppy was enjoying
the walk, I explained the reasons why his puppy shouldnt be out at this age, but he just said his puppy is ok.
About half an hour later I saw the puppy again but this time the poor little thing was being dragged along  it was very tired. What I couldnt understand
was, why didnt he pick him up and carry him home.

Hi Tricolours,

This is awful, the poor little thing, the man probably thought you were being a 'do gooder' and nosy to boot! He will go home and moan to everyone saying things like, 'I was taking the dog for a walk, most people don't even do that with their dogs!' It is the same old story, if before he got his puppy, he looked into it and did some research, he would know the limits that are put on puppies exercising too much, are there for a reason. It is so sad, there are many things that people do thinking it is better for the puppy, but it can do so much harm, if they knew, they wouldn't dream of doing it!

This isn't unusual at all.  there was a new pu at class on Monday where I help out.  He was a cocker rather undersized and developed for his suposed age of 13 weeks.  she was telling me that he stops on his walks ans was she perhaps overdoing it as toi her sisters was about 4 miles!!!!
