'Next' has some lovely ideas for a proper little girls room, it can be a bit pricey though compared to the usual DIY shops, but you can buy on line (after registering) or find a 'Next Home' store/department, or you can order things from their catalogues in any store.

Good luck!

Natalie

Edited to say: sorry forgot to say, the website is www.next.co.uk

Hi

Try www.linenstore.co.uk, they have some lovely pink twinkle wallpaper with matching accessories all on a disney princess theme.  God I can-t wait to have children, if I have a little girl I will have her room decorated like a little princesses.

Hi Scarymary,

If you go to www.next.co.uk, then click 'homeware' then 'bedrooms' then 'childrens rooms' you will find some wall paper, like I said it is a bit pricey compared to DIY stores, but it isn't over the top, it looks like all the wall paper rolls are £9.99 and the borders are £6.99.

I saw two but it is difficult to see what is actually for sale on their website, if you hold your mouse over each picture that shows any wallpaper, it will say if it actually for sale or not :D

Hiya,

Just seen the bit about re-plastering!

We have had few rooms in our house 'skimmed', it isn't the same as taking the old plaster off and starting again (re-plastering), it is a layer about 3mm deep of new plaster, it just gives a very smooth finish, with out the mess. Our bloke charges £80 per day, and takes about a day to do an average size room (4x4m), once it is completely dry (about 1-2 days, but best to leave it for a week if you can) it is ready to paint over, the only mess, is clearing the drip marks off of the windows, doors, skirting etc. which can take up to hour or so. Obviously you have to move the furniture about to get to the walls, but you would have done this to decorate anyway!Nat

Hope this helps :D
