hi ive just found this site while surfing for info about my cav.........she is on day 60 of her pregnancy and i just wondered if i could ask about these symptoms?
shes normally a very clean girl but i have been waking up to number 2s for a couple of mornings now, also when we went for our short walk today she couldnt manage it and a 10 minute walk turned out to be about 30 mins with 3 wet poos(1 wasnt so much a poo but a blob) but it was brown so i cant decide if it was a plug or not.....and she was puffed out panting and her back legs were weaker. she isnt huge and even up to last night she has been jumping on and of the sofa! the vet has been told all her whelping stuff is ready and now were just waiting for her....she was shivering a bit last night but she did that last week too so i dont want to take much notice of that and shes just collapsed fast asleep now! she has been finding corners but shes done that since she was a pup so i cant tell! any thoughts?

Panting is a good sign they are going into labour and you may see her waters break.

What has her temperature been for the past 4 days?
Have you got her used to her whelping box?
Has she eaten?
Has her shape changed?
Are you sleeping with her incase she whelps during the night?

When they are going into labour they become more restless eg walking around, sitting down and standing, they sometimes look at their stomach alot thats a good sign that the puppies are moving down also lots and lots of panting, then you might see the plug of mucuos which can be abit green in colour, then waters and then finally some bearing down which you can't miss, good luck

My girl had runny poos the day before so things should be moving now!
