how do i go about finding info on a breeder who is on a pedigree

Hi do you mean info on a dog in the pedigree or the person who bred it?

I found the best source for researching into pedigrees and kennels was to join the breed club and order back issues of their yearbooks where there are adverts with breeders advertising their Dogs wins usually with photos. 

Most of these will also have health results for that year in the breed and informative articles.

If you don't have it and you just want to know the Hip Score or eye test result for a particular dog, the you can contact the kennel club, and as it is a matter of public record they can tell you that.

sorry what i mean is the ladys name who is supposed to be the breeder of my dog and she sells her pug pups to dogsrus her pups are kennel club reg with all the pedigree i just wnted to get a bit of infomation about this lady

Is your dog actually KC registered, or DLRC registered?

If KC registered you must contact them about her, because it's against KC rules for a breeder to sell pups to pet shops.

kc reg ive checked the names on his pedigree etc they all match to be correct but there is something not right about this woman and what would the kennel club actualy do? if anything

They can refuse to register any more puppies she breeds. They certainly need to know about this.

It is against teh Kennel clubs general code of ethics to sell pups to a retail outlet.  We had this in our breed where someone was prepared to let the KC know that they were selling to Mayfield Kennels) now DogsRUS), and the KC stopped their registration priveledges.  Interestingly enough the then owner of the Puppy Supermarket started up the dog Lovers Registration club (in order to give the pups they sold a veneer of quality).

If the KC do stop the breeder regitering pups they will probably transfer the bitch to someone else and then get pups KC registered or just do DLRC as many people aren't aware that it isn't worth the paper it is printed on.

Still the more difficult things can be made for puppy farmers the better.

If you weren't already aware anyone that wpould sell to a retail outlet is not a caring respectable breder who cares one hoot for theri puppies once they leave the premises, and littel enoguh for them before that. :(

I would also contact the PYg club to tell them about this person as they wi no doubt be dealing with the fall out in breed resue.  Also they need to know who the bad people are exploiting their breeed in case they get enquiries from would be or new Puyg owners so they can warn against them.
