I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who was so kind as to welcome me aboard the Forum :-)

I'd also like to say *thank you* to those who have apparently complained about me straight away for advertising my current litter of puppies!!  **PLEASE**  Can you tell me EXACTLY where I posted "Puppies For Sale"??  Or even, "Hi, I've got 6 dogs & a new litter of 6 puppies, x, y & z still need a home"?????

NO ~ I think not!!!  Maybe those of you who have complained to the Moderator that I was advertising would like to kindly share with me their complaints??

I feel sorry that you have read an announcement as an advert :-(

For anyone who still has any doubts, yes I have a litter of pups ~ *NO*, NONE are available, all were booked a long time before arriving in the world.  Does this clarify things for you any better??  I do hope so!!

I joined this forum in the hope of sharing information & I certainly didn't expect this :-(

Thanks again

Hi! Don't worry, we all put our foot in it every so often! I'm afraid mentioning that a person has a litter, and mentions the breed, is generally considered to be a possible advertisement (yes, there have been people in the past who are devious like this :( ) and Admin removes the post. If mentioning litters it's a good idea to always point out that they aren't for sale.

Welcome, anyway.
:)

I wouldn't worry. They warn us about possible Troll posts but they should warn new people or visitors to the devious members already on here just waiting to complain about something.

If you can ignore the minority, then you will get alot of info out of this site and hopefully help some people out too, there are alot of first time dog owners who genuinly need the advice. Stick with it, you will soon be able to workout who to ignore etc;-)

I can see why you are annoyed though. :-)

Don't worry about it.  I have never worked out how a litter announcement is different to someone posting on the breeding board for advice on a problem they might be having with a litter or a bitch in welp.

Both are actually telling others they have a litter of puppies.

Welcome aboard, it is actually an excellent site and the trouble makers are in the minority.  Unfortunately you will always get the 'odd one or two' on a public forum. :)

Tigerlily, you yourself have recently highlighted issues to us by PM. I did not consider you to be devious because you saw fit to complain about something that you thought was wrong :)

Admin regularly read the board and make these edits.
These rules apply to everyone so please don't take it personally :)

I have never bred a litter and still manage to put my foot in it every so often :D Look at it this way, its nice to be part of a well administered forum, unlike some others ;)

Don't worry Lyndsay it happens occasionally and when people don't know you it is their understandable concern for the dogs that drives them and nothing personal. :) I am sure you wouldn't be suprised at the lengths some people would go to for free advertising and I know you would be only interested in the pups welfare yourself :)
Best Wishes

We welcome and  encourage members to highlight issues that they feel we need to know about. This can cover a whole range of issues and not just posts that they feel are adverts. This forum is vast and we can not monitor it 24 hours a day or 7 days a week. It is the responsibility of the membership to moderate themselves and on the whole they do a good job. Drawing matters to our attention is part of what this community is all about and why it works so well. You may be put out because you announced your litter and we removed it, but the very fact that people did read it as an advert shows that something somewhere was amiss. We do our best. The rules are in place for a very good reason. It is down to you to abide by them.
