Well what was the weather like for you today.

Here in Manchester it was warm and sunny sunny sunny!!  Cold this morning but not far off sunbathing weather by the early afternoon it was gorgeous.

Terri, did you get my photo's of sunny Manchester?  I'm sure that it cheered you up with being in the bleak dreary wet south :d :d :d
- By Anna [gb] Date 23.04.05 21:31 UTC
Yes it has been quite nice here today but probably colder than where you are because we are quite high up in the hills of Saddleworth, about 10 miles out of Manchester.  It can be really windy here and then you get a few minutes down the road and the weather is a lot warmer :-)

Hi Anna,

I am so sorry about yesterday, we both have different takes on things, so do you think we could just agree to disagree?

I saw your name on this thread, and just felt horrible, I think it is a bit silly for 2 grown women to be bickering like school girls, and I would like for us to just start a fresh. We both come on here for a bit of a natter, and for some advice, and maybe even offer up some advice, it seems a shame to try and avoid each other.

If you feel we can put it behind us, please don't feel let down if I don't reply tonight, I am on the way up to bed, although I have been thinking about going since around 8 o'clock this evening (over done it in the garden a bit!!! :) )

I hope to hear from you soon, and that we can start off on the right foot this time :D

Hi Natalie,

Yes that is a very good idea.  I was also thinking about this today :-)
Lets put it down to hormones shall we?  (well I blame everything else on them anyway LOL)  It is silly to avoid each other like you say, I don't want to make enemies on this board because it is a really good board isn't it?

Anyway sorry for anything I may have said yesterday and lets start afresh tomorrow.

Thanks Anna.

I decided I can't be bothered going to bed, LOL don't think I can make it up the stairs!!!

Hi Natalie,

By the time I have got through this bottle of red wine, don't think I will make it up the stairs either LOL.
- By Natalie1212 Date 23.04.05 22:42 UTC
I know what you mean, I can't make it up the stairs, but managed a stroll to the fridge myself 5 mins ago!!! LOL

Oh, I hardly ever read the Foo board but I'm so glad I did just now ;)  Good on you girls - I feel a group hug coming on :D
- By Natalie1212 Date 23.04.05 23:09 UTC
LOL Terry, you been on the wine as well?
- By Natalie1212 Date 23.04.05 23:10 UTC
Teri even LOL I haven't touched a drop all night - I promise!!!
- By Teri Date 23.04.05 23:15 UTC
Nope, not me - stone cold sober :(    I have a cocktail of meds supposed to zonk me out and never to be mixed with alcohol  so how come I'm usually on here talking to myself or someone from the USA / Australia / Timbuctoo (sp) at 3-00 am & 4-00 am     Methinks I should chuck the tabs and hit the bottle :D
- By Natalie1212 Date 23.04.05 23:21 UTC
I think I would say the the bottle comes and hits me, about 7 o'clock in the evening I get a feeling and that's it, I have to have wine! The only thing I ever take tablets for, is to make sure there are no more 'mini me's' about to crop up, as it were! Love the one I have got to bit's but I am a little bit like a dog - if a dog burns his nose on the fire, he will never do it again!!!

I thought that Natalie and ended up with three!!

I always said when I first got married that I wasn't having any kids because I preferred animals.   We got a rescue dog and she was our baby and then I got pregnant with my first after being married about 18 months.   After I had him I had to go back into hospital because I had a large ovarian cyst as big as a grapefruit and it had twisted on its stalk and was causing a lot of pain.  They took the ovary and tube out and said it might be cancerous (which fortunately it wasn't) and said I might not be able to have any more children.  Two months after the operation I was pregnant again, which I was very upset about because my first baby was only 4 months old.   My hubby left when they were just 3 and 4 and I met someone else a few months after he left and we now have my four year old together.  My four year old was the result of a bottle of Cherry wine.  I was nearly 37 when I got pregnant with her and had been on the menopause once because of having my ovary out so young.   She is my partners first child though and so it was nice for him to have a child of his own as well as being step-dad to my other two.

Yes I should think it was lovely for your partner to have a child of his own. It can be difficult starting a relationship with someone who has practically had a whole life before. I'm not commenting on your age there Anna!!! ;)

When I first met my hubbie, he had been out of a relationship that had lasted 11 years, they weren't married, and didn't have kids, but they did have a mortgage together, which he couldn't get of until his ex sold the house, which considering that although he wasn't still living there, he was paying half the mortgage, she was very reluctant to do. The house didn't sell for about 2 years, all the while he was paying for half of it! So even with out divorces, ex-wives and kids, we still had a tough time at the start.

Thanks Teri :-)

Alls well that ends well (is that what they say or have I got that wrong?)

Yes we are friends now, lifes too short for fall-outs isn't it?

Was a lovely warm day here in Accrington thats two on the trot.A little breezy this morning but by lunch time was glorious
- By Natalie1212 Date 23.04.05 21:58 UTC
Hi Polly, I live in Accrington as well, was a lovely day, OH spent the day putting up our new doggie proof fence (much better than the last one which had fallen down!) and I spent the afternoon in the garden with our little boy playing football of all things!
- By perrodeagua [gb] Date 24.04.05 08:57 UTC
Were you playing football for Accrington Stanley?  I used to love that advert, can't remember what it was for now :d Cold again this morning but I hope it's as nice later, then I can finish off my front garden after takng the dogs for a swima t the local water park.
- By Natalie1212 Date 24.04.05 09:02 UTC
LOL, Hubbe and I were talking about that advert a couple of days ago, it was for milk!

It looks like the sun is trying to burn through.

Where is this water park you are saying about? We have lived here for nearly 2 years, but usually we go to OH's Mum's at the weekend, in Bolton, so I know more about Bolton than I do Accrington!!! We live right at the top of Willows Lane, where (roughly!) do you live? It isn't very often you speak to people in your own town!
