My dear 18 month old bitch is displaying all the symptoms of scottie cramps. It is most distressing to watch her going through, what appear to be little fits. I have explained the symptoms to my vet. He has prescribed 2mg of diazapam 3 times a day. This apparently should stop the physical signs.
I have not found much information on the web about the condition. Has anyone had first hand experience of this with a scottie. I would like to understand the options and prognosis.

Sorry indie, haven't had any experience with this condition but found something about it on the web.  You may have seen it already though.  It was the Scottish Terrier Club of America and it has something about Scottie cramps on there.  If you haven't already read it just go on ask jeeves and type scottie cramps in the search and it comes up.
