Hi Guest,
There is only one type of chihuahua.Look for a KC registered litter bred by a responsible breeder. Good breeders will usually NOT advertise in the papers and most will have a waiting list!
Here are a few numbers you could try calling: Margaret-01249 783522
Ruth- 01789 772788
Jean- 01354 693535.
Then there are backyard breeders, these people only breed to make money, which most responsible breeders do not. They dont do health tests on their dogs, they dont care who buys their dogs and do not guarantee good health, they also do not offer to be responsible for the pup for all of it's life,Responsible breeders will take their dog back at anytime (if for some reason you were unable to keep it) no matter what it's age!
Why dont you join,it only takes a minute, and then you'll be able to ask all the questions you want :) As it looks like you have been looking at all the wrong adds :(

There are only 2 kinds long and smooth coated, the deer headed chi is often bred by puppy farmers as it doesn't meet the standard but these chis have become popular due to tinkerbell or gidget the taco bell dog, but their noses are too long and heads too flat. If you want a chi that conforms to standards go look at the kennel club website search it on google and read the chi breed standards(smooth and long), then contact the breed clubs and see what you can find I recommend you go on some waiting lists.
