please can any one give some advice i have a weimaraner pup she is nine weeks old . and is having trouble settling at night please help also nipping the childrens legs any help much appreciated
I have a very good method of getting pups to settle at night, which was suggested by Idõ 's breeder, if you are interested? It worked very well with our wire vizsla and now, at 19 weeks, he sleeps soundly from 10pm til 7am and has done since he was about 12 weeks.
PM if you would like me to send you it :)
We never had a problem with nipping but if our ever was a bit ;mouthy' we simply yelped, like his littermated would have done. I know some people say this only encourages the behaviour but we found it worked wonders and we now have a pup who is far more interested in licking us to death than nipping/biting :D

Our weim is 10 months old and did the same! she slept fine until about 16 weeks old then decided she wanted to bark thru the night! we gave in after trying everything we heard and read, and let her upstairs. She now sleeps in the spare room, not in a cage and never barks in the night! She still does the nipping. yelping didnt work with her. She tends to do it when she wants to play but we are still looking for ways to stop this. Have tried time out, water sprays, keeping her on loose lead etc! Let me know how u get on! enjoy your pup, i cant believe how much ours has grown!!
