my mums Sheltie 9 months old keeps licking Douglas's ears. Why do dogs do this as Douglas has now decided my ears need a good clean aswell.

no idea why they do this , but my westie loves to clean my GSDs ears, and she just loves her ears being cleaned, the look on her face is wonderful

All my dogs lick each others ears and then we all get the same treatment :D all in all my house is a big round of ear cleaning :D :D

I wouldnt be held responsible for my actions if somebody came up to me, whilst I was queing in Tesco's and started licking my ears.

When my mums dog had pups three years ago we kept two of the pups and the mother dog still insists on cleaning her pups ears and making sure they are clean !
