I have bathed my staff twice with flea shampoo but 10 days later hes still scratching. could this be a sign of a skin disorder?

It could be, did you wash the flea shampoo out thoroughly, why dont you try frontline see if he stops itching and then go from there, some dogs do get irritated by fleas biting them, once they have gone they are usually okay, what do you feed your dog on? and how long has he been scratching?

Some dogs/animals/humans are allergic to the detergent and other additives in shampoos. If the fleas are gone I suggest you stop it.
I use frontline but I am uncomortable about the fact it goes into their system via the skin.

Yes I also feel dubious about using frontline on our dog who has got skin problems and wonder sometimes wheather it will make him worse or not.  I frontlined him last week and this week he is scratching more than ever, although wheather the frontline is to blame I do not know.
