I like my Bosch, except for one thing - it loads left to right, and I really prefer front to back.......

We have always had Hotpoint and barr a couple of problems including delivering one which was the wrong colour we have never really had a problem. The last one lasted six years I think ! :)

It has to be Bosch - they're tough and last for years - I've had mine since 1989 and it's only needed a new door spring. Very reliable and highly recomended - also not as expensive as they used to be.
Cheers :)

Have to recommend Bosch too - never had any problems and always done a good job. I have a very basic model, which is not expensive, I'm not sure I'd ever use all the features the more expensive machines have anyway.

Mine's a Bosch - it's great. :)
We have a Whirlpool that we paid nearly £500 for about 3 years ago, and we opened it the other day and found that the top rack had somehow broken off the rails and had smashed down on to the bottom rack, obviously destroying everything! So go for the Bosch, my Mum's is a Bosch that she has had for about 11 years and apart from a little bit of a mark on the front of the door, it still works fine!

Well back to the cheap versus expensive :-))
I had had intergrated for years now but I buy the whirlpool as it is fair in price and works well ..
BUT WHAT I will say again just like the wash machine.. I bought a indesit white dishwasher in 1989 so 16 years ago for £180 you can still but the same model or smilar for £200 I gave it to my mum when I moved onto a intergrated in the mid 90s . That machine I gave to my mum is still going strong, looking new and clean and it used everday.. :-)) no problem. Never needed looked or fixed once.

we've got a hotpoint too... think is excellent

I have just got a Zanussi my other one before new kitchen was a hotpoint never had a problem with it, but this new one dries far better and is far easier to load

Make sure that it is a quiet one :) My Bosch is good - but have had Hotpoints, which were also good :) Also, check how long the wash cycles are - as some have VERY long cycles which are OK if you are running at night or when you are off to work - but not so good if you want the things to use again quickly.

My Hoover ran problem free with great results for 15 years and it was secondhand when we bought it.
