I am interested in finding out how I can stud my male tri-colour cavalier?

Could anyone offer any advice?

After you have read the Using a pet dog at stud & if you still intend to use your cavalier at stud then you MUST have the following health tests done on your dog
1.An MRI scan for Syringohydromyelia that shows your dog does NOT have SHM. This CANNOT be done by your GP vet & there are three centres in the UK where this can be done
2.Hips scored for HD & a score under the breed average.Your vet can X ray your dog biut the assessment of the hips is done by a panel at the BVA
3.A current clear heart certificate(ie done every year after 12 months the certificate is no longer valid)
4.A current clear eye certificate this cannot be don by a GP vet & only a BVA/ISDS/KC panelizt vet can issued them & they have to be done yearly
5.Examined for slipping Patella This can be done by you GP vet

When all these checks have been done & your dog iis clear then you need to show your dog so the owners of bitches can see him & then consider using him on one of their bitches.

Only bitches whose have also had ALL the above tests done & whose pedigree matches your dogs should be bred to your dog

Failure to ensure both dogs have all the above tests done will leave you open to being suing by any puppy owner whoses puppy develops any problem that the above tests reveal
