Anyone else use them?

I do and had a letter today telling me the insurance renewal is due and also that the price has gone up. That means it has risen 40% in 2 yrs.... (been renewed twice). My dog has had a couple of problems which were sorted through insurance which may one day need sorting further and i cant change insurance companies as they will not cover for the stuff he already has wrong.

Is this kind of price rise normal???

i have pet plan insurance from the vets, this is my second year with them and it didnt go up at all. I have a shar-pei and not many pet insurance cover shar-pei's as they are prone to skin and eye problems. touch wood, havent used it yet.
I had the kennel club one for the first 6 weeks, when i registered her.
