Hi all,
I'm going out of my mind trying to stop my old time stafford eating misc foods off the floor. He is suffering from some kind of allergy and as part of the diagnosis process he is on a Science Plan allergen free food. He is not allowed any other foods for 6-10 weeks and although this food looks particulary uninteresting I have no choice other than feeding him this.
The problem is that when out on walks (even on the lead) he seems solely motivated and possesed by finding food. Damn those bird loving bread feeders!!!
At the first opportunity he will shoot off, nose down in search of food!!!
I have made him aware that it is not an acceptable action and he knows full well that it is not on!
Any ideas, or suggestions/experience with stafford skin irritation, especially bad under the front legs.
Thanks in advance

I don't think there's a way you can train him not to eat food if you don't know its there!
If it was me, I would keep him on a box muzzle when on walks.. he can still bark and breathe but can't eat the scraps

Good idea, it hadn't occured...
I'm sure he'll soon figure that one out.
Thanks,
