Hi has anyone any ideas how i try and get bright red nail varnish off a beige carpet. before i contact insurance company thought i would try to clean it off.cheers in advance polly_45

Nail varnish remover??  It's worth a try.  If it doesn't work you can still contact the insurance company but it might save your premiums being pushed up.

I was also thinking nail varnish remover but then i thought it may bleach the carpet..... but if your going to go through your insurance company give it a try. Hope it works!!!!

I had this problem last year and tried all the shop bought things e.g. stain devils which claimed to work and nail polish remover but I still have a bright red splash half the length of my bathroom.  the only thing that disguised it slightly was to cut the carpet to trim the polish off it but it had spread too far down the carpet for this to be effective.
