Hi

I'm very new to showing and have been reading critiquesof varios shows in the press, is there a phrasebook anywhere for complete beginners? what does not enough angulation mean and what about needs to strengthen in pastern.....and how would one go about correcting these?

thanks

Pasterns can be strengthened with excersise, but there is not much you can do about angulation in a fully mature dog.  If the dog is a pup it is wise to remeber that the long bones grow for the longest, and a dog that seems a bit straight in stifle and upperarm may improve a little with maturity.

I would suggest that you look out for a seminar on conformation and movement - I have just been to my first and found it invaluable to learn more.  Also, do ask people at shows - the majority are only too happy to answer questions
