Is there anyone who could help with my problem? 

The keyboard function that allows multiple separate highlighting isn't working on my pc ie highlight with curser, hold down ctrl to do additional highlights.

I know it's not the keyboard or mouse, I've just had new ones and the problem was there before, ctrl seem to work ok for everything else.  Could it be in settings or something?  Any help gratefully received :-)
