hi, i've got a staffordshire bull terrier that is 6 months old and i'm hoping to show him in may.
last weekend i went to an open show just to watch, the youngest staffie being shown in the puppy class was 7 months and he was the size of an adult staffie, and my pup was alot smaller and still looks like a puppy has anyone had any experience with there staffie taking longer to mature as i'm a bit worried that his not growing properly
thanks

Hi Lola
our eldest SBTwas a slow maturer- he is now 2 and a half and has filled out beautifully.
He did look tiny when in the ring next to the *larger* pups but being a slow maturer is no bad thing.
To me a pup should look like a pup and you will find he changes all the time until maturity where as the bigger more mature dogs are likely to stay the same right through to adulthood

Some lines just take their time getting there but its worth it :)

*everything comes to he who waits* ;)
