Finally we're on the move our contracts were exchanged yesterday with a completion date for 9th May - got everything sorted even the dogs. Showing on 7th at the National and sending some dogs to Swadlincote with a friend at the end of the day so daughter taking me to the show then bringing dogs back for friend so I'll go home without my dogs, move on 8th and try to work out how many cars are needed to transport 4 schips a pom and a large 9mthish rottie who takes up the WHOLE back seat lol.
Seems like forever getting this far but I don't care I'm freeing myself of my mortgage and although the new house needs a lot of work and is smaller it's in a lower band for council tax and insurance plus the space is more useful than where I am now AND it's got dog runs kennels and a very large well set out cellar to boot. Anyone know a good builder who can move me staircase, walls, windows, refit bathrooms and kitchens cheap lol?

I put mine on the market last August and just moving now, seems it's the same all over the country with things just starting to pick up as spring is getting going and stamp duty was dealt with at the budget. Our area is a small market town and there are lots of new houses going up supposedly low cost housing for the locals, there's nearly 40 gone up where a garage used to be another 40 where part of the secondary school used to be 15 instead of the old fire station - any spare plot and up goes a housing estate of dog kennels.
