Topic Dog Boards / General / holiday cottages that allow dogs?

Im looking to take my two dogs away for a long weekend but everywhere i look don't take dogs or those that do are very expensive.

Can anyone recommend some cottages (thought it would be better than hotels) that take 2 dogs - most only allow 1 dog too!

I thought about going down to Devon way although open to ideas.

Am based in Manchester so if there are some excellent cottage in the North West/Lakes that take them let me know!!

I live in Anglesey and you will find a lot of farmers here with caravans/cottages advertise in the loot and they are the ones that mostly allow dogs.

Try Hoseasons we go every year with them it also states how many dogs are able to go.Their website also lets you see some of the cottages inside so you get an idea. They are also good quality, as we have stayed in others before and the accommodation is not too good, but every one we have been in has been good.
Good luck.

There is a book called Pets Wecome I do not think it is expensive, but I usually nip into WH Smiths and have a quick look

Can highly recommend Eastcott Lodges.  They are a series of only seven wooden lodges on the site and is a real get away from it all place.  We took our two dogs last year and they loved it.  Quite a small place but well worth it.  Its by Holsworthy in Devon and they have a website.

There is a great holiday bungalow in Rhosneigr, Anglesey.  Secure garden, good parking plus only a couple hundred yards from a lovely beach that is dog friendly. Hardly any humans!.  Very peaceful location. Have been going for the last five years with my three dogs and we all have a great break.
Company called Menai Holiday Cottages. 01248-717135.  hols@menaiholidays.co.uk.
Name of property is Penlon and the cost in June for one week is £250 or there abouts.  Sleeps four people in two bedrooms.  Big lounge with an open kitchen.  Lots of people with dogs have been and they all think it is a great place.
