I would say he's trying to make his new environment smell more familiar. Are both dogs entire? How old are they? Had Henry been a housepet or in a kennel recently? And how long ago did she rescue him?

They are both 'seen to' and are under two years old. Henry had been a pet ,she rescued him about six months ago
