We have just been told by our local supplier in Aberdeen that they are no longer able to sell us tripe. I have tried local butchers and meat suppliers in a vain hope to try and get some. Does anyone know of anywhere I can get some locally? I dont mind driving to get it either. I have an English Mastiff who is 2 1/2 years and she loves it.
Please help!!!

I have an identical problem (and possibly dog) ! The local slaughter house (MacD's) is now unable to sell tripe, and there doesn't seem to be an alternative source.
I believe this is a legislation issue. Maybe all of the unhappy Mastiffs should join forces and march in protest ?
Seriously, please post a message if you manage to find a supplier - I'll do the same. Nearest one I've found is N. Wales - a long treck from Aberdeen.

Ask for it for free. I used to get a whole tripe for £10, now it just appears at the back door :)

Hi Aberdeen people,
I'm in Dundee and get my tripe from Redcastle Animal Feeds just north of Dundee on the A90 - you can do a google search and get contact details :) We have to order it in advance and it comes frozen, 30lbs to a box I think it is. I know they deliver, but I don't know if they would go as far north as Aberdeen, but worth phoning and asking them if they would. It's good tripe too, and coarsely minced, which is the way my boys like it :D
Hope this helps,
Lesley
