I was wondering what safe cleaning product can I clean my hard floors with without harming my puppy? I washed them with PineSol this morning, but waited for them to dry before he walked on them..Is this ok?

Many years ago a vet told me that if a cleaning product goes cloudy in water it is unsafe for pets until completely dry. If it bubbles or froths in water there must be no residue.  But in all honesty I have probably tried most cleaning products on the market and have found the simplest cleaner for floors.  Bio washing powder, hot water, and a mop. Clean floor, safe for pets and nice smell :D
I also wrap an old clean towel round mophead just to help the drying process along a bit :)

I use washing up liquid, or, if the floor isn't too dirty, just a microfibre cloth and plain water.

HOnestly, I am using same methods on wooden floors now as I did pre-dog. I wipe the areas where the dog eats her bones with Dettol every night, and mop the floor s once a week with Sainsbury's pine disinfectant. (I pretend it's good for the floor as it smells of pine :D  )  The dog waits in her crate until the floors are dry, which only takes a few minutes, and I have never noticed any problems. I would only worry if the dog had an excessive interest in floor licking or something like that. I would probably stay clear of foaming products, however, as they could be quite difficult to wash off.
IF you are truly concerned, then just use some washing up liquid (but only a drop, as it will foam .) and vinegar- vinegar will kill off some bacteria and is brilliant for controlling odours.

Vinegar and lemon juice (not both together) are good at cutting through dirt and grease and kill a good level of germs. Having found myself to be alergic to most artificial scents I invested in a steam cleaner, which also means that I will never have to deflea the house with those awful chamicals (having lost a cat to a flea collar reaction I have a deep lothing for all flea killing products). It is not easier work to clean with steam but I for one am feeling a lot better about it, although havnet quite bought myself to do away with a little bleach down the toilets yet :)
