Im working part time at the mo but want to work full time because of financial situation. Does anyone know, if i go to work full time on £13,000 a year, will i still get tax credits and child care costs?

It will depend on how many children you have and how old they are,  you could try and phone them to discuss your situation but from personal experience they are difficult to get actual figures out of.  good luck I hope you get sorted.

Well i have one son who is 8 years old. Im not too bothered about getting tax credits as the new wage will be enough. But say during the school holidays, childcare will cost me £75 a week!! I just wondered if anyone knew before i phoned them because i know some people who have phoned them and spoke to different people at the tax office and they have given them different estimations or even said they couldnt get it at all, when another person said they could!

I had a look on the working family tax credit website, and I didn't qualify because as a family we earned too much  per year, and it's only about £26,000, which is a really low wage for us both.  If I changed it so I only worked part-time I still didn't get any extra money.  God knows what I'm gonna do when I have kids!!

Did you check as though you had kids? It might be different, you may be able to get it if you have children.

If you had a child you would qualify for WTC(Child element) if you use the IRS do I qualify pages & add a child & some childcare coats you would be entitled

If you use it just to calc your current entitlement then no you would not qualify

Hi,

WWFT are messing up alot of people just now so be careful, when u phone them up they all tell u different things and how much u will be getting. We have so many forms we can supply them with them, all telling us different amounts. We addes another child on to the system thay didnt pay us at all. They had another child down we didnt have which caused problems. When u ask them for a fomula of how the breakdown works they cant tell u.
They spent months under paying us and then overpaid us which caused major problems they also have excuses along as their arm .We ring up one day get figures confimed then the next day just ring to check on those figures again and u get a different set.
They put alot of families in strife when they decided to recalculate everyones money and then not pay them for x number of months ended up with a huge back log on their system and their computers crashed which didn't help these families with the bills.

If u have children and earn under £50,000 year YOU qualify the amont u get depends obviously how much u earn and how many children u have.Ring them up and get on to them.

If you claim on line it is a lot simpler as there should be no mistakes from the IRS as you would be the one entering the information & it can be a quicker option of getting info to them

Its even quicker if go down your local inland revenue office as these people can acess your details and give a straight answer not at the end of a phone and u can actually see your deatils on their screen.

Yes go onto the Inland Revenue web site and check eligibility on line.  Dont forget to fill in every box.  It will give you a ball park figure at the end which I have found us usualy about right.

I filled in the forms on line and it sadi I would get £745 per month - great thought I - but when I actually applied I got £225 per month - big difference :(
