I think that you need to go back to the breeder and make sure that your dog is suitable to be bred from.  Although she is a fair size toy breeds can be very difficult at giving birth.  Breeding a small breed can be very heart breaking.  Are you ready for this?

you have left it too late to find a suitable stud.It takes weeks of research not days. Please leave her till her next season and spend the next 6 months doing your research

I dont want to sound harsh, guest, but I'm afraid you didnt need to add the last sentence to your post as it is clear that you know nothing about breeding and little about your breed. There is no such thing as a "miniature or standard" Yorkie. You should spend plenty of time learning about the pedigree of your girl and finding out what lines are right for her, you should get her assessed by someone knowledgeable (preferably who judges the breed) to make sure she is a good enough example of a Yorkie and so fit to breed from. Find out from a breed club what health checks are recommended. There are many poor examples of Yorkies bred every year and I am sure you dont want to add to that number.

Hi
I also have Yorkies. I despair when I see some puppies advertised at "Standard, Miniature etc" I often do in my local paper - I presume by the same breeder that must have several litters a year. So what "advice" (if any) must she be giving her new puppies owners??
It took me months to locate a suitable stud dog for my youngest Yorkie bitch. The stud dog owner agreed to let me use her dog - but not until after we'd had a very lenghthy telephone conversation , she had scrutinized her pedigree and had a look at her. That still doen't mean that she would think my other Yorkie bitch would be suitable. I have to agree with Fillis there are too many poor examples of Yorkies being bred and bred from.

Although not the breed for me, a well bred Yorkie with a good coat is a sight to behold and it is so sad that there are so many VERY bad specemins about. Some bear very little resemblence to how they should look. :(
