Wow doesnt it get earlier every year! Some so-n-so has just let off a series of fireworks and now Mack is whining to go outside and bark!!!! He is not frightened, well at least i dont think he is. I was going to leave asking this question until MUCH later in the year, but what can I do with a dog who wants to attack the fireworks? He wants to be out there in the back garden and bark (which he does do on 5 Nov for 5 hours solid!!!). None of the usual things work; i.e. crash bang wallop type CDs, ignoring him or DAPs.
PLEASE HELP MACK!!!!
Hi Gillie
IThats the one night of the year that I don't even consider leaving the house. Ignore him if he wants to go out, its far too dangerous. I take the dog for a walk before the fireworks start and only in the garden late at night when they stop. I lock the cat flaps so they cats can't get out. Our dog whines at the noise, be we just ignore him, best thing to do. It goes on for about a week in my area.
That's just my opinion though.
