Just wondering.. what turns your dogs on more when training, food or play??

Mine are all food orientated

More food but trying to move onto the toy its not going to be easy.

Neither has only one any ideas hope to stimulated a uncomunicative dog

Both, depending on what I am doing, sometimes you need to control the drives of a dog with something less motivating then their primary reinforcer.

Food when trick training or using the clicker.  Toy when doing agility.

My dog is both food and toy motivated, but in different ways!
She works well for treats, but for toys she just gets so excited and wont concentrate at all.
So yes, food works for her.
